Terms and Conditions

These terms are the agreement between you and Ideina IO Ltd ("we", "us") whenever you use the Propaso app or propasohealth.com. By using either you accept them; if you do not, please do not use them.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Propaso is operated by Ideina IO Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 17470309, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom). "Propaso" is our trading name. Contact: alexpatto1@gmail.com.

These terms cover the Propaso iOS app and every feature in it, and the website at propasohealth.com (together, "the service"). Our Privacy Policy forms part of them. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's terms also apply and section 17 sets out what Apple requires us to say.

2. Propaso is not medical advice

• Talk to a doctor before starting a new activity plan, especially if you are pregnant, injured, or have a heart, lung or other condition that activity could affect.
• If you feel unwell, dizzy or in pain while active, stop and seek help. Never ignore or delay medical advice because of something Propaso showed you.
• You take part in physical activity at your own risk and decide what is safe for you.

Where Propaso refers to research, it summarises studies of groups of people. Those are population associations, not predictions about you; placing your activity on such a scale shows where a group like you sat in the study, not an assessment of your health.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 13. Under 18s should have a parent or guardian's permission.
• Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens on it.
• One account per person. Do not impersonate anyone or choose a misleading username. Your username can be found by other users searching for someone to add.

4. Propaso Plus, free trial and prices

The Dashboard, Friends, and setting a goal and seeing today's targets on Coach are free. The weekly plan, your history, your Level, Insights and Rewards are Propaso Plus.

Free trial

Every new account gets Propaso Plus free for 7 days, starting automatically when the account is created. One trial per person; it cannot be restarted on the same or a new account. Nothing is charged during the trial and it does not commit you to paying. When it ends you return to the free features unless you subscribe or buy lifetime access.

Two ways to pay

• Monthly subscription — £1.50 a month. Renews automatically each month and is charged to your Apple ID until you cancel. To cancel, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel Propaso there at least 24 hours before the end of the current month. Deleting the app does not cancel it. After cancelling you keep Propaso Plus until the end of the month you have paid for, then return to the free features; your data is kept.
• Lifetime access — £10, paid once. Gives you Propaso Plus for as long as we offer it, with no renewal. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of Propaso Plus, not a guarantee that the service will exist forever (see section 14). If you buy lifetime access while a monthly subscription is running, cancel the subscription yourself as above — Apple does not cancel it for you.

Both are sold through the Apple App Store. The price is shown in the app and on the App Store before you confirm, in your local currency, and may differ by country. Apple handles payment, receipts and refunds under Apple's terms; to request a refund go to reportaproblem.apple.com, as we cannot refund App Store purchases ourselves. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on a new device from the app.

Price changes and your right to change your mind

If we change the subscription price, Apple will ask you to agree to the new price before it applies; if you do not, your subscription ends at the close of the current period. Under UK consumer law you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content. Because Propaso Plus is delivered immediately, by subscribing or buying lifetime access you ask us to start supplying it straight away and acknowledge that you then lose that 14-day right. Your right to cancel a renewal, and your statutory rights if the service is faulty, are unaffected.

5. Acceptable use

Do not:

• falsify activity data or manipulate step counts, scores or level to unlock rewards you have not earned;
• use the service unlawfully, or to harass, abuse or deceive other users;
• try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the app, the website or our systems, or extract data from them with automated tools;
• use Ask or any AI feature to obtain content unrelated to your own activity, or to generate harmful, unlawful or misleading content;
• post discount codes publicly or share them with people who have not unlocked them.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules and withdraw rewards obtained through them.

6. Plans, levels and scores

Propaso builds a walking plan from your recent activity and the goal you describe. Targets are software estimates, not prescriptions: adjust or ignore them if they are not right for you. You can change your goal or intensity at any time, or turn your goal off in Settings, which clears your plan and restarts your Level and Progression.

Levels, the Movement Score, the Progression score and similar figures are features of the app, not measures of your health. We may refine how they are calculated, which may change your figures.

7. Friends

• Friends is optional. If you add someone and they accept, you each see the other's username, photo, level, daily steps and scores.
• Starring a friend keeps their figures fresher, including while the app is in the background; your figures are shared with your friends the same way. Removing a friend stops sharing both ways.
• Do not use Friends to monitor someone without their agreement or to pass on another person's data.
• You can block anyone, which removes them as a friend and stops them contacting you or seeing your figures, and you can report a username to us (which also blocks them). We review reports and may warn, restrict or close an account that breaks these terms.

8. Rewards

• Reaching levels unlocks discount codes and offers from partner brands. They have no cash value.
• Reward links open the brand's site through the Awin affiliate network, and if you buy something we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The ladder of brands is the same for everyone and unlocks by level; it is not influenced by your health or activity data, and none of that data goes to the brands.
• Any purchase is a contract between you and the brand, on their terms. We are not responsible for their products, prices, service or delivery.
• Offers may change, run out or expire, and are subject to the brand's own conditions. Codes are public Awin codes unless the app says otherwise. We may add, replace or remove brands at any time.

9. AI-generated content

Your plan explanation, insights, weekly insight, Movement Score explanation and Ask answers are written by an AI model from your own figures. They can be incomplete or wrong. Treat them as a summary of your numbers, never as fact or as medical or professional advice. The Privacy Policy explains what is sent and how to turn these features off.

10. Calendar, notifications and background updates

• If you allow it, Propaso adds planned walks to a calendar on your device and updates or removes them when your plan changes. It only touches events it created. Withdraw access in your device settings at any time.
• With your permission we send notifications such as friend requests, likes and "your answer is ready". Turn them off in your device settings.
• To keep Friends current, the app may briefly wake in the background to refresh step data. This uses a little battery and data; limit it under Background App Refresh in your device settings.

11. Accuracy of figures

Propaso relies on step and activity data from your phone and Apple Health, which are themselves estimates: phones miss steps when not carried, and calorie, distance and walking-speed figures are approximations. Read figures as indicative, not exact; scores built on them inherit the same uncertainty.

12. The website

The website is for information about Propaso. It may contain errors or be out of date, and we may change or remove content at any time. Research figures on it are summaries of studies of groups of people, and section 2 applies to them. It may link to other sites, including partner brands and the App Store, which we do not control. Do not scrape or frame the website or interfere with others' use of it. Its cookies are described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Our content and yours

The app, website, Propaso name, logo, design, text, graphics and software belong to us or our licensors. You may use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes only, and may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or build on any part of it without our written permission.

Your data remains yours. By setting a username or photo you allow us to show them to the friends you have added, for that purpose only. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

14. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may take it down for maintenance, change or withdraw features, or require an update to keep using the app. If we ever withdraw Propaso Plus altogether, section 15 says what happens to a subscription or lifetime purchase.

We may update these terms. For a significant change we will tell you in the app, on the website or by email; continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the updated terms. If you do not, stop using the service and, if you subscribe, cancel as described in section 4.

15. Ending this agreement

You can stop at any time by deleting your account in the app (Settings › Profile › Delete account), which permanently removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy, or simply by removing the app. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it as described in section 4. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the service; if we close it for a reason other than your breach while you have paid for a period that has not ended, or hold lifetime access, we will tell you how to seek a refund from Apple.

16. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected. Subject to that:

• The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will meet your needs or that its figures are accurate.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, business losses (the service is for personal use), or injury or health outcomes from physical activity you choose to undertake.
• We are not liable for partner brands' products, services or websites, or for Apple's handling of payments.
• Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you have paid us in the previous twelve months or £50.

17. Apple App Store terms

If you obtained the app from the App Store:

• These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to maintain or support it.
• If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund any purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
• Apple is not responsible for any claim relating to the app, including product-liability, regulatory or consumer-protection claims. If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for dealing with it.
• You confirm you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

18. General and governing law

• These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the service.
• We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation, for example if the business is sold; we will tell you, and your rights will not be affected. You may not transfer yours without our consent.
• If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. A right we do not enforce immediately is not waived. Apart from Apple under section 17, nobody else has rights under these terms.
• These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also use your own courts, and wherever you live you keep the protection of your country's mandatory consumer laws.
